How fun that you are taking up the mandolin!  We have a very interesting mandolin that we inherited from my wife&#039;s grandfather.  It is about 100 years old, a Gibson, in perfect condition and completely playable, if you can imagine that.  I have looked up its value, and it is definitely worth a lot of money, but we are keeping it as a family heirloom.  My eldest daughter plays violin, and the fingering is the same, so she hopes to learn some mandolin technique some day.
For you it&#039;s perfect, since it would fit nicely in a tiny house!
