Winter Rain and Red Leaf
While on my walk the other day, I passed this leaf that had fallen recently and been drenched by a recent winter rain shower. I loved the way it’s bright red color contrasted with the brown dead leaves surrounding it.

Kent–I became an avid reader of Tiny House Blog after discovering Scott Stewart’s work there & still plan to live in a tiny house built by him one day soon. Now I have had the pleasure of stumbling upon your own blog. I, too, have been a long-time fan of Keith Green’s music & couldn’t help but grin when you greeted the New Year with the video. Then I see that you have a “thing” for folk music–and banjo (may God seriously bless those within earshot…)–I come from a musical family and have a brother who plays with a folk band when he’s not preaching from the pulpit. Lastly, & most endearing, is your apparent love of/for God. That sealed the deal==you have a new fan. Oh yes–the photo of the red leaf is wonderful! How great that you took notice of it along your way that day. Thanks for sharing!
Love this picture. I’d love to draw it. May I have permission to draw, paint and post it on my blog and flickr. I’d want to include the photo for comparison and I would link back to here.
Hi Timaree, yes, you may draw and paint it. I would enjoy getting a copy and posting it here along with the photo with credit to you of course.
