A friend having one of the originals back in college and with me enjoying the ride in a road rally with him. A couple of years ago I had the joy of driving one again and I need to find the picture and show it to you. My wife nicknamed it a “clown car” and was not that keen on me buying it at the time.

I also very much enjoy the new Mini Cooper and plan to have one someday and my wife likes these as well, so that is a big plus. While gas prices have come down lately it was not to long ago we were looking a $5 a gallon and a good car with good mpg’s becomes top on the list and the Mini Cooper fills that bill.

Mini Cooper has come up with a diesel version that is available across the pond in Europe. With lots of torque and plenty of speed it claims to get up to 64 miles per gallon.
