Old storage barn light switch and breaker along my usual walk here at the Rio Lindo Academy campus. With 360 acres there is always need for places to store things and this old covered shed does the job. I liked the texture and color of the box and light switch.

Ted and I joined some of his friends from P.U.C. at a 49ers game at Candlestick Park along with thousands of other people. We could not have asked for a better day weather wise as it was quite comfortable. The home team won with a big lead and than we spent two hours getting out of the parking lot before heading home. Arrived back at Rio Lindo to a locked gate at midnight so walked the last little ways home. It was a fun day for father and son :-)

I went with my son to see a 49er’s game yesterday and we pulled off of the highway and stopped in the headlands to view the Golden Gate Bridge. The clouds made the scene very pretty and the lighting on the bridge was nice as it was a late winter afternoon.

Today on our way up to Cloverdale to set up for the school Christmas Program, Janelle and I took a little side trip into Alexander Valley and I snapped this picture of a rustic fence and trees with the beautiful clouds hanging low over the valley.

I know more leaves, but the frost was so cool on them this morning I had to shoot a few pictures and I shot a couple of neat ones so wanted to share one on the blog today.

We’ve been down in the 20s the last couple of nights, no snow like a lot of you but just plain cold for this part of California. The leaves are pretty much off our trees and these are a few of the last ones that I have not raked up yet.

An old weathered log pulled out from the creek that runs by my folks house and than placed in their yard makes a perfect backdrop for freshly fallen leaves, enhanced by a recent rain shower.

Driving home from church today I decided to take the side roads home as we had gotten out early and it was a beautiful day. I stopped beside the road and shot this picture of the vineyard just south of Asti California.

I try to take a camera with me on my daily walks with our dog. It’s not always possible as currently my wife and I share a point and shoot and often she will take it to school, and I don’t always feel like lugging around my big Nikon D200. Today I had the point and shoot and noticed this leaf on the ground and thought it made a pretty picture. I hope you like it. Have a great Monday!

This afternoon Janelle and I took Max our dog for a walk down to the Russian River. The fall colors were really pretty and as it was approaching evening the lighting was magnificent. Unfortunately the sky was not at its best and the picture really does not do it justice but it was an enjoyable fall walk and at least this gives you some idea of what it was like.
