Castle Red Rose
When we were at the castle the other day in Napa Valley, there was this beautiful red rose standing guard by one of the gate entrances. It was just sitting there asking to be photographed. Not an outstanding photograph but very pretty and worth sharing, or so I thought. You be the judge…
Manchester Beach Get-away
My wife and I went on our annual get-away for our 26th anniversary a couple of weeks ago. This year taking the RoadTrek to Manchester Beach, California and staying at the KOA campground for a couple of nights. We enjoyed walking the beach on Saturday, enjoying the view and the driftwood.
The weather was perfect, about 65 degrees with no wind. We than went back and enjoyed some good food, a camp fire, some games and reading. This is a great place to camp if you are ever in the area.
On Sunday we hiked once more to the beach via the dunes, took a few more pictures and came back to pack up and head north to the town of Mendocino. The weather was totally different in Mendocino, windy and cold and foggy. Didn’t get the town pictures I was hoping for but was able to get a couple of nice flower shots as the light was perfect for that as long as you kept the shutter speed up to stop the wind.
